The foundation is the only Bulgarian organisation included in the research, conducted by the UK based Skillnet Group CIC. The research is looking for answers about the financial sustainability of social enterprises, as well as the effect they have on disadvantaged people.

In the eve of 2017 Botanica Life Foundation received its first public recognition. It came from the NGO sector in Targovishte. The young organization received a high assessment and the award for “The most successful start” in the traditional event for the annual awards of Club NGO on the 28th December in Terra Evropa Hotel, Targovishte.

A very pleasant and useful weekend for Botanica Life Foundation. On 12th and 13th of November the chair of the board of the foundation Dr Apostol Apostolov visited two farms in the field of sustainable agriculture, and made himself familiar with some good practices.
Dr Apostolov visited Paul and Sophie`s farm- Balcan Ecology Project in the town of Shipka during the Open Days Weekend. There were visitors from Great Britain, Japan, Israel.

Botanica Life Foundation took part in an international conference which was held on 13 October in Varna. The participants were Bulgarian organizations, whose projects are supported by the Velux Foundations in Denmark, as well as representatives of the Danish organization.
Some of the projects, on which the organizations are currently working , were presented at the conference. They are in different areas, but have one thing in common-they work to solve social and educational problems of children at risk.

Nikolay Hristov is the first member of the Board of Trustees with Botanica Life Foundation. This
honorary position is a reverence toward Niki's professional and personal qualities, as well as a gratitude for his support! Nikolay is the person responsible for the creation of Botanica's website. He did it voluntarily in his free time, this way showing support for the Foundation and its ideas, and making them popular.
