Science and practice meet in the village of Nadarevo
07.03.2019
Tsvetanka Goranova, a PhD in Historical Sciences and a senior researcher at the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences, paid us a visit in the village of Nadarevo. The reason for her visit was her research on the teaching models in education from the beginning of the 20th century to present days and the influence of the Western models on the development of school education in Bulgaria. She is interested in the dual form of education that Botanica Life Foundation is providing for young people in the field of Sustainable Agriculture and Lifestyle, as well as the process of learning through personal experience. Historically, the development of education in agriculture has arisen to meet the needs of young farmers in the growing sector, and this was a prerequisite for the development of society as a whole.
We, at Botanica Life Foundation, are pleased that our work has scientific value and we hope to build a fruitful partnership with the Bulgarian Academy of Sciences. We thank Dr Goranova for the interest in our work, the visit and the warm attitude. We wish her all the best with her research, and we look forward to reading the publication which will arise from her current research. We will also try to follow her words of wisdom for us to try and "restore the roots of Bulgarian self-esteem!" through what we do in Nadarevo. She wrote these words on the front page of a co-authored book which she gave us as a gift. We thank her for that gift!
