National Conference on “Innovations in Social Work in the Community. Contemporary Therapeutic and Training Methods and Approaches”.

On 15th November 2018 Botanica Life Foundation took part in a national conference in the town of Targovishte, on the topic of "Innovations in Social Work in the Community. Contemporary Therapeutic and Training Methods and Approaches ".
Other participants in the conference were representatives of organizations in the field of social services: Tulip Foundation – Sofia, Pulse Foundation – Pernik, Equilibrium – Ruse, International Social Services Bulgaria – Veliko Tarnovo, Child and Space Association – Sofia, and Association for Persons with Intellectual Disabilities – Varna.
The conference, organized by the National Alliance for Social Responsibility and the Municipality of Targovishte, was attended by representatives of state, regional and municipal institutions involved in social policy and service provision. The participants were greeted by the Major of Targovishte – Dr Darin Dimotrov - and the Deputy Regional Governor - Mr Panayot Dimitrov.
Botanica Life Foundation was represented by Dr Apostol Apostolov with a presentation, titled "The cause of social agriculture: in support of children, land and nature". In his presentation, he emphasized, in front of the large audience, the main directions of the Foundation's work, and discussed good practices and approaches of working with children and young people. The listeners were interested to understand how our visitors - families, young people and children – are experiencing the freedom and beauty of nature in our vegetable garden.
The participants were invited to attend some of the participating services. A number of people visited our training centre in Nadarevo, and we were pleased to provide some additional information on how we work with children and young people and how we produce organic vegetables.
We hope that the wish, conveyed by the mayor of Targovishte, for improvement of the dialogue and interaction between institutions of different levels, will be realized. We also look forward to making new friendships with new organizations from all over Bulgaria, and hope that they will lead to fruitful joint work for the support of children and young people.
