Open door days

In the past week we had opened the doors of Botanica Life’s gardens for visitors. The idea of the “open door” days is to provide an opportunity for everyone who is interested in what we are doing to visit us and learn more about our work. In the past week, our visitors met with a team member, who guided them around the gardens and explained about the ideas behind the foundation and our work with children and young people. Everyone was able to see in practice how we grow our vegetables and how we look after the land, following the principles of sustainable agriculture.
For some of our guests it was a nice family walk with a lot of useful information and tips about growing organic vegetables. For others, it was a chance to hand-pick some vegetables themselves. Among them were the Antonovs. We told them about the concept of the project, about our work, we shared our experience of using herbs in agriculture and showed them the comfrey (one of our magic plants). We were delighted with their curiosity and sincere interest in our activity. They also picked up vegetables, some of which later traveled to far-away lands in Austria, where part of the family lives. On the next day, the Antonovs sent us the following message: "We all thank you for the wonderful day at Botanica Life. It was a wonderful experience!"

Apart from family visits, we had guests from the “Community Center for Mental Health Care” in the town of Targovishte. They were service users and members of the team. Everyone was excited about our work and especially by the idea of creating a social enterprise. We are very pleased with their intention to develop a cooperation with us and support us in the garden work.
We want to thank everyone who visited us! It is always a pleasure to welcome positive and shiny people.

Due to a growing interest, the OPEN DOOR days at Botanica Life continue! You can take a walk in our gardens again next week from Monday to Thursday (03.09.18 - 06.09.18), pick up vegetables, learn about the secrets of our delicious tomatoes, or just look around.
