Barbara and her husband Kurt Gehring have a strong interest in Botanica Life’s project in Nadarevo - "Establishing a Training and Production Centre for Youth Participation and Sustainable Agriculture". They visited the village in 2017 and were introduced to the ideas and objectives of the foundation. They were intrigued by the idea of building a lake in the lands of the foundation which would become a natural habitat for local flora and fauna. The lake will serve as an example in our work with the students to show the importance of biodiversity and the use of water in the bio garden. Barbara and Kurt Gerhing offered to put us into contact with a friend of theirs - a Swiss expert - garden designer with extensive experience in building lakes. So, we met Fritz Wassmann, who (with the help of the Gerhing family) arrived in Nadarevo in the spring of 2018. 
The brilliant project for the lake was soon made by Mr. Wassmann, with the participation of his wife, Kaori Vassmann-Takigawa. The landscape architect Dr. Ivelina Radilova, who designed the rest of the gardens of Botanica Life was also involved In finalizing the project. Everyone is involved in the project voluntarily for the realization of this wonderful idea.
