Restoration and construction with natural materials

September 21 - 27, 2022

One week practical workshop

We will restore and transform the old barn into a new art studio. We have invited again Peter Mogensen from Denmark to lead the workshop. Peter was with us last autumn when we built a clay oven in the yard of Botanica Guest House. He is a teacher in sustainable construction at Brenderup Folk High School, Denmark.

As the task we have set ourselves this time is more voluminous, we will dedicate a whole week to it. We will restore an old cob buildingq and we will transform it into a workshop/studio for creative activities. We will replace rotten beams, put in wooden window frames, rearrange the old tiles and plaster the walls with clay and thatch. We will also use recycled wood.

If you want to learn more about nature-friendly construction and learn techniques for working with natural materials, if you want to meet new interesting people, if you want to dip your hands in clay, you should join our workshop!
