Pumpkin! It sounds yummy, isn't it? Not only is it tasty, but also good for your health. That is why, it used in both it is desserts and salty dishes. The pumpkin is one of the golden autumn gifts. It could last for long and it can keep us in good health throughout the whole winter season. The fruit contains a variety of vitamins and minerals, while its seeds are rich in amino acids. The pumpkin is good for our diet and it has some fantastic uses. You can make a pumpkin carriage, a lantern, desserts, soups and so on.


Now we will share with you our way to turn the pumpkin into a tasty cream soup.

How to make

We clean and cut all vegetables into large pieces. We boil them in salty water until they are totally soft. Once we take them off the stove, we add the butter, cumin, pepper and turmeric. Then we puree everything until we get a creamy texture.


What we offer for more impressive look and richer taste is:

  • puree some parsley and olive oil.

  • mix well 2-3 table spoons of sour cream.


Then we serve the dish in soup plates and add a teaspoon of the parsley mix, a teaspoon of the sour cream and sprinkle with raw pumpkin seeds. We can also add some parmesan on top.


Note: The cream soup should be relatively thick, while the cream should be lighter, so that it can hold on top.

  • 3 carrots

  • 1-2 potatoes

  • 200-300 grams of sweet potato

  • 1 onion

  • 30 grams of butter

  • 2-3 table spoons of sour cream

  • olive oil

  • 50 grams of raw pumpkin seeds

  • salt

  • parsley

  • cumin

  • pepper

  • turmeric
