“To be a volunteer means to do good and to be happy”. These are the words of a young person who participated in a training on volunteering which took place in our training centre on 23-24 April 2021. We were delighted to host this training as the topic of volunteering is really precious for us. The event wasorganised by the Club of Non-Governmental Organisations – Targovishte. As part of the training, our partners broughttogether high school students from the Students Parliament in Targovishte to learn about various aspects of volunteering,as well as about ways and opportunities to participate in volunteeringevents.

As part of the training, a special volunteering initiative was organized. The students planted 20 lime trees in Botanica Life’s demonstration field. The lime trees were a gift from Albena Nedeva, representing the community centre (Chitalishte) in the village of Bayachevo. We want to express our gratitude for the students’ incredible volunteering work and of the kind gesture of Albena.

We are sure that such an interest and will for volunteering are going to bring more and more nice initiatives which would make the world a better place.
