On herbs in the village of Shipochano
30.09.2021
Young people in the village of Shipochano, near Kyustendil, dived into the magic of herbs, thanks to Laura Nikolova - a Nature pedagogue and phytotherapist. We sent Lora to Shipochano on the invitation of the Center for Sustainable Community Development (CSCD). In the course "Growing herbs at home and their application" the participants were taught how to select, sow and grow herbs, what is their proper use and what are the ways to make herbal extracts. The young people were intrigued by the possibilities and riches that Nature offers to everyone and participated enthusiastically.
The course was organised for young people, aged 18-29, who are not in education, employment or training.
Last year, in partnership with CSCD, we held another training for young people from the town of Breznik, on sustainable agriculture, which was organised in support of the activities of the project: 'RAISE YOUTH Youth in Action - for innovative and sustainable entrepreneurship in rural areas'. We are happy that the partnership between our two organisations continues and the training we offer reach young people in remote places.
