Conversations about slow food

In November, we were visited by the Professional School of Agriculture "Nikola Pushkarov" from Popovo and their partners from Turkey, under their project "Slow Food Movement". We talked about food and sustainable agriculture. The discussions was also joined by partners from Italy via a conference call. We presented about oven-making with natural materials, showing a short video of how we made our clay oven. We also baked bread and vegetables in the clay oven for them. Our guests tasted other culinary masterpieces, made with food from Botanica Life's gardens. Apostol Apostolov offered our guests a tour around the Foundation's gardens and gave a presentation on producing fruits and vegetables in a sustainable way. Participants learned about the history of the sugar sorghum, grown in the Foundation's gardens, and were introduced to the technology of produce treacle at Botabica Life's guest house.

It was a pleasure to meet again our friends from "Nikola Pushkarov" Secondary School.
