It is inspiring when young people are interested in charity and volunteering. To give means to help those in need! And is it not exactly this culture of giving which turns us into a good and wise society? A society, in which values are ‘’the driver” of development!

Botanica Life Foundation hosted the training called “charity as a value”, which is a part of the initiative “a model of sustainable giving’’, realised by the Club of Non-governmental organisations in Targovishte. On 7th and 8thApril, we welcomed young people from the Centre for Personal Development/United Children’s Complex – Targovishte. We met them with enthusiasm and were truly interested in the topic of their training, which was led by Diana Yakimova from the Club of Non-governmental organisations and Ilijan Iliev from the Community Centre for Environment and Sustainable Development. As a partner in this initiative, Botanica Life Foundation was represented by Dr Apostol Apostolov and Mr Nikolay Hristov. In his capacity of a manager of an IT company, Mr Hristov talked about the motivation of a private company to be involved in charity, as well as about his personal reasons to support the realisation of social initiatives and causes.

We thank the organisers of the event, the trainers and the guests for sharing their time and experience.

At the end of the training, we all promised to meet again and plant a tree together!
