At the beginning of October, in a beautiful and sunny Autumn day, we welcomed guests from Pchelitsa (Bee) kindergarten, Targovishte. The children from year 2, together with their teachers, were acquainted with the plants in our gardens. The kids received a tour around the gardens. Like true researchers of Nature, they explored the vegetable beds and gathered various crops. In the beds, they found broad beans, peppers, red beetroot, kale, cabbage, pumpkins, cucumbers, Jerusalem artichoke, corn, and many other vegetables. Together, we spoke about the vegetables in the garden, how we grow them and how good they are for our health. We also suggested some tasty meals with our vegetables. We did not forget to treat ourselves to a cup of tea, of course, made with herbs from the garden – thyme, mint, and lemon balm.

The activities in the garden were led by Mr Apostol Apostolov, who addressed the children and their teachers with the following words:

“Today I am particularly happy to welcome you here, in Nadarevo. This is so because kindergarten Pchelitsa is also my kindergarten. When I was little, the kindergarten had just open for the first time, and I was among its first attendants. I had wonderful teachers, and today I cherish precious memories of those times.”

We wish all the children from Pchelitsa kindergarten to continue to grow their love for Nature! We expect to see them again in Nadarevo, so that we have more adventures together.
